UAB "Ekobana" has successfully completed the construction of the new 110/6 kV Griežė TP electrical substation

We are pleased to announce that UAB "Ekobana" has successfully completed the construction of 110 kV power cable lines, 110/6 kV Griežė TP engineering structures, and an industrial building in Mažeikiai district, Židikai eldership, Juodeikiai village, Mažeikių g. 71, and has received the construction completion certificates.

Project Significance

This project ensures the electricity supply for the deep oil refining unit, also known as the Bottom of the Barrel hydrocracking unit. The smooth operation of this unit will enable AB "ORLEN Lietuva" to produce the same amount of products while consuming 20% less crude oil.

Project Overview

UAB "Ekobana" carried out the project in accordance with the connection conditions issued by LITGRID AB on 2022-01-06 for the connection of a 31.5 MW electricity facility to the power transmission network (No. 22SD-47) and the construction design task prepared by AB "ORLEN Lietuva" on 2021-11-23.
